Pork Carnitas
Pork Carnitas
Easy dinner to make your taste buds sing!
My children even loved it and now it’ll be on the regular Taco Tuesday rotation.
I think the lime and orange juice gave a bit of sweetness that was so delicious + the crispy pork and favorite toppings… (chef’s kiss)
Yum! So good.
What you need:
1 lb Precooked Shredded Pork (or leftover pork roast meat)
Favorite Cheese, Shredded (I used Monterey Jack) (Feta or Pepper jack would be great too)
Favorite Taco Toppings (we had mild salsa, diced avocado, sour cream & lettuce) (I also added a little bit of red pepper flakes to mine and Justin’s for a little bit of heat)
(other ideas are jalapenos, onions, refried beans, microgreens)
1 pack of Favorite Tortillas
Lime Juice from 1 lime
1/4 C Orange Juice
What to do:
Thaw precooked shredded pork (or leftover pork roast meat) and heat large cast iron pan with butter or oil on medium high.
Add orange and lime juice and spread meat across pan. Be sure not to crowd meat.
Fry until meat is brown and crispy but not too dry. Flip and brown the other side.
Warm tortilla shells, add fried pork meat and top with your favorite toppings.
That’s it! Enjoy.
