The piglets are here!
It’s been busy around here as we welcomed 3 litters of piglets this last week totaling 29 piglets!
Weston got to be up for about an hour at 1 AM on a school day to watch the first ones join us earthside.
He got home from school just in time to see the last ones born too and helped the momma out by pulling some that needed a little assistance getting through the birth canal.
He was very excited and happy with how it all went.
As with all things on the farm, it also came with a bit of heartbreak when one of the smallest runts didn’t make it through the first day. :( But he handled like a true farmer- with gentle sadness but strength to persevere. Gosh, I love him.
Now that we have piglets on the ground and doing well, we have decided to harvest his other guilt that he tried to breed but didn’t get pregnant so he can use that money to purchase feed and supplies for all these piglets.
So we unexpectedly have more pork available for purchase!
Let me know if you are interested in a whole, half or even a quarter pig or sign up for our pork subscription boxes!
Buying this pork would greatly help him purchase the feed he needs to feed all these little cuties!
Reply to this email and I will set you up with all the details so you can have some of his amazing pork!
“The bacon is the best bacon we’ve ever had! You can’t overcrowd your pan when cooking it like store bacon because there is so much meat. It’s the best.” -Graham and Jen C.
Don’t miss out! Reply to this email and I’ll set you up with it.
Love,
Darci & Weston
